Halo: Reach to be final Bungie Halo game

Revealed at ODST press event

News: Halo: Reach to be final Bungie Halo game

Bungie has confirmed that Halo: Reach will be its final Halo game on Xbox 360.

Speaking to GamerZines at the Halo 3: ODST press event, senior designer Lars Bakken confirmed reach would be Bungie's final stand, for this generation at least.

"In terms of a platform for Halo games made by Bungie...yes Reach is the last one. I can't answer that question about Microsoft - whether they have something in the works or not, I don't know if they're actually ready to talk about it yet. But in terms of Bungie-produced Halo games, ODST and Reach is all you're going to get on 360."

No doubt some fanboys will be disappointed, but statements like this will only lead to one thing: "when's the next Xbox, then?"

Now that's a line we're really not looking forward to seeing everywhere...
