FIFA 13 Kinect voice commands revealed in video

Headset only collect voice, it doesn’t do Speech Recognition (covert sound waves into meaningful words). Kinect does that, with built-in software and hardware.

Yes, there were games that support voice command without Kinect, like Binary Domain, End Wars. But developers need to write/buy their own codes to do the SR work. That means more time and effort, that means more money.

So, Kinect is not the only way to do voice command. But it’s an easier way to do it.
